Inventory counts that survive auditor observation
A tidy warehouse and a written count plan matter more than last-minute overtime the night before stocktake.
When we attend a stocktake, we are watching the process as much as the quantities. Count teams that start without sealed areas, dual-count instructions, or a freeze on warehouse movements create differences we must expand.
Write the plan first
Name the count supervisor, list zones, decide whether tags or scanners are used, and state how incomplete counts are escalated. Share that plan with us five business days ahead so we can select test-count locations without disrupting your floor.
Slow-moving stock
Auditors look for dust. Items that have sat untouched for a year often need a net realisable value discussion, not only a quantity tick. Finance and warehouse should agree a candidate list of slow movers before the count date so valuation questions do not surprise anyone in the closing meeting.
Northern Taiwan sites with multiple floors or outdoor yards should assign a runner who knows the layout. Lost auditors waste everyone’s morning; a short orientation at the gate pays for itself.
